Art in Motion is proud to announce that through a partnership with City Colleges of Chicago, AIM students have the opportunity to participate in the Star Scholarship Program which allows them to receive free tuition and books from a City Colleges of Chicago school! Students are able to start taking college level courses now- totally free! We are so excited about this opportunity for our students to begin pursuing higher education.
Ms. Villafuerte, AIM School Counselor shared, “This program is another opportunity for our students to accelerate their learning – to be a step ahead as they continue on their educational journey with Art In Motion. We’re excited about the possibilities for our students, and know that the partnership with City Colleges is a key factor for our students’ long term success.”
She continues, “City Colleges of Chicago really enjoy working with students and parents from AIM. AIM students are actively participating in Dual Enrollment classes to have the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school, and many students who had planned not to attend college are now in the process of changing their minds because of these college experiences.”
To qualify for the program, students must obtain a 3.0 or better. Please reach out to Ms. Villafuerte at vvillafuerte@distinctiveschools.org for more information on how to get involved!
